Well, this past weekend was a crazy one! We had March for Babies on Saturday morning. It was great! Rick and I got there early, then Mom brought Eli a little later. We walked to all the corporate tents and spoke to people, thanking them for supporting the babies. Then we went on stage and gave our speech.
After our speech, we helped to start the march.
Then the march started! We had a HUGE team this year! At least 15 people came out to march with us. It was amazing! Our team raised OVER $4500!!!! I can't even believe that our team did so well... Or maybe I can because they have a passion for saving the babies!
Then after the walk, we spent some time doing other things in the village... Eli got his face painted, we had Chick-Fil-A nuggets for lunch, walked around, took pictures, I helped to judge some contests... Then the most touching part of the whole day took place. Our Angel Baby ceremony. We recognized each Angle Baby that we were told about. We called their names and mama's and dada's came up to recieve a beautiful candle in memory of their little ones. It is a amazing moment to be a part of, but also a moment that I hope one day will not have to happen. Over all, what a great day it was! :o)
